I doubt you will have any lag problems with the 360 controller, but you may get lag when the batteries start dying.

I had the same thoughts, at one point or another. Unfortunately, as I have not had the opportunity to test the product, I cannot offer any confirmation either way. However, this is one more reason why I am buying a wired controller. Just in case there is a lag issue (which I doubt, but) it will not affect my online playing.

I'm sure microsoft tested the crap out of it. If there was any lag I'm sure it was only due to the batteries dying out, which makes perfect logical sence.

I've never experianced lag with any wireless controllers on any console before, so I HIGHLY DOUBT there will be lag for the 360.

The wireless controllers arer top-of-the-line, they even give you a warning when their batteries are running low.

I still have one of those! Doesn't work but I still have it

Oh and trugamer. I'm pretty sure there's only 3. The 360 was built for wireless controllers. The 3 USB ports are for attatchments, ipods, accessories etc.

There's one in the back for a permenant accessory (ie wireless adapter, webcam etc)

The 2 in the front are for everything else, Including possibly a keyboard and mouse.

1 console supports upto 4 wireless controllers, unless you a have 2 consoles in the same room but that wouldn't cause any problems due to each controller is binded to the console that it's being used on via the bind buttons on the console and the controller.

Some of the 3rd party xbox controllers had a lag problem, but that could be just because they were 3rd party... not to mention the technology advancements since then.
