Default Consequences of playing 360 on old big screen.

Tomorrow morning I will get to open my xbox 360. My problem is, I have a few tvs in the house, non of them HD, and I don't know which to play it on. We have a 61" Magnavox big screen that is years old. I heard playing video games on old big screens like this could cause problems. Would it be safe to play on at all?

Other than that I have a 15" off brand lcd and a 32" crt. What would you recommend I play it on?

BTW, we're looking to get a new LCD HDTV before May of this year so hopefully I won't have to go through the pains of playing my system on a mediocre t.v. for too long.

If you're going to replace the big screen in May, go ahead and use that as long as the picture is fine.

Old big screens have a problem with images burning into the screen. Things like a health bar or any image that is fixed on the screen for a long period of time would still be visable after you stopped playing.

Some Plasma televisions still have this problem. If it wasn't for the 360 auto-dim I'd have a picture of my dashboard burned in.
