Four weeks flat. |

Posts: 2,676 | Well, it will ONLY take 4 weeks if what you get back works. If it doesn't, then it will 8 weeks. And if that one doesn't work, well, you get the picture. Eventually, they will put someone's returned xbox in your box and send it to you, and it will work. I mean, c'mon, you only spent 400 bucks, it's not like they should replace it quickly, or even with a working one. That just wouldn't make sense. |

Posts: 106 | I swear that better not happen! I will snap! I was as nice as I could be to the lil' indian dude on the phone. Which he gave me one free mnth of xbox live which was pretty ****ing generous since I already paid for it and I wont have my xbox for a month. Is there any microsoft repair centers in the US? If so, which is closer to TN, cause if they send me one back that is broke I will drive there and knock on the door!!!! |

It shouldn't take more than 3 business days for one way transit.

Posts: 121 | Never tell them u use any aftermarket parts voids warranty. We should run a thread mentioning some of these things for those who don't know. It's BS all the sh*t thats going wrong with 360's and all of loyal owners not giving up on them but any little thing and they leave you out in the cold. |

Originally Posted by Spartan1127 Why would you buy a second one? So you switch from time to time which console to play on? | A few reasons if you are really curious. I bought a elite while my prem. was being repaired. I hang in my downstairs office with a 32" LCD on a desk. Its cool for gaming but not movie watching. So I have my fixed premium upstairs with my add on HD DVD player attached. So it works great watching HD DVD's on the 57" and it looks great in my living room.
Also my wife is a gamer, so we can now both hook up to Live at the same time on different machines. It works pretty good but the first 360 to log into live seems to take a connection priority and seems to have a better connection. It still works good though.
Besides I had stashed the money for a new 360 even before they upped the warrenty because I had a launch machine that I was sure would go out eventually anyhow. So the money was just sitting there.

Posts: 792 | I have had 3 repair center trips the first and second were just under 3 weeks, the third was about 3 1/2 weeks. I'm in vancouver washington right next to a MAJOR airport in portland so you would expect the package to ship direct from portland airport to dallas tx and then hit Mcallen tx the next day but NOPE. It goes to portland then chicago and then to kentucky where it then gets on a truck that takes it 3 days to hit Dallas. Basically for some reason my 360 takes 6-7 business days to transit one-way to the repair center. |
