Case mod thoughts

I was thinking about replacing my white case with a translucent black case and putting in red talismoon LEDs and putting in red LEDs for the Ring of light, I thought the combo was pretty cool. I'm almost out of warranty at this point so I figured what the hell. What do you think? anyone modded a case or replaced LEDs before? How hard is it?

Assuming you have a launch console, you're still under warranty for at least 9 months + whatever was added to the warranty each time you sent your 360 in.

I have about 6 months left :/ I'm gonna wait a while I'm just getting ideas.

Thats cool man, but be very careful, im pretty sure we all know how fragile these 360's are. I modded my original XBOX case, and made it a translucant black but with blue LED's. It wasn't that hard, but ive looked at a 360, that thing is CRAZYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you buy a custom case it comes with the tool to get it open and the LED's just plug right in (no cutting/splicing required). My friend put a clear case, light up fans, and 2 LED strips in his 360. Very simple to do.


As far as the warranty goes..........when you open the case you will ruin a MS tamper-proof sticker but they are actually available online to put back on.
