Default Updates to DIVX/XVID Files not showing up

Hi,

I rip my DVD's & convert them to AVI files using the DIVX codec (or XVID can't remember which). I then use my 360 as an extender to connect to my PC with which I share certain folders.

Now I can play almost all of these files directly using the Xbox media blade. However one anomoly is if I make changes to these files (ie rename them or move between folders) the Xbox doesn't see the updates. It seems to have some sort of memory.

Have tried disconnecting & reconnecting etc but the original file names remain.

Anyone noticed this and have any ideas? thanks
