So why did they have to send you a new power cord? Did they upgrade your 360's motherboard and to a falcon chipset? Did you therefore need the 175 watt power supply?

I am not following.

Just a update.
Microsoft received my console on Friday the 2nd of May. The website again is conflicting. If I click my serial number, it shows me the usual steps and says I am in step 3, and my console will take up to 10 business days to repair.
If I click on show my open calls link, then punch in my serial number, the page comes up exactly the same as before, except it says it will take 2 business days to repair.
Gee Microsft, can we agree on a timeline.

So I called em up and they pretty much said allow up to 10 Bus Days for repair/replace etc. So anyway, its just a bit more time to wait.

Its ok though as my younger bro GTR Andrew 96 (thats his Gamertag) has lent me his 360 to play GTA4. He has GTA4 but is yet to play it for more than 20 minutes. Thats a good Bro, shoutout to Andrew.

Joel, next podcast, can I request a shout out to GTR Andrew 96 for his ultimate sacrifice which is very very appreciated by the Boost King.

Cheers.

PS GTA rocks.
Question: Where do you go to pick up a hoe?

so what's the deal with every 360 repair customer calling up customer service to ask about their console? just about every story i've read from people who send in their consoles includes a phone call to customer service after sending in their system. is their service that crappy?

Its more just to check up usually for whats the hold up, or in my case, its saying it will take 2 days on the website, its not right, so I called only to confirm.

I had 2 conflicting emails in this return process.
The first was the website where I logged the call, told me to wait 10 days for a coffin, yet the email I got from MS said to just send it in, with no reference to the coffin at all. So thats the first miscommunication.
The second was the website showing under my serial number a return time of 10 days, yet under the same page, under track your 360, its saying 2 days? Again, conflicting information.

All I need for MS to do now is tell me to collect the 360 instead of them delivering it.

Fingers crossed.

****Update*****

Just checked the Website today, and the status has changed to "Device Shipped to Customer".

So that means it arrived at MS on the 2nd of May, and is being shipped to me on the 8th of May, 6 days at MS, or really, 5 business days.

Not sure if they ship express or what, but I'd say if its express it could be delivered tommorow. If its not, then Monday or Tuesday is my guess.

All up at worst if my calcs are right, means the total process from:
- Logging a Call, to Return would be approximately 17 calender days.
- Shipping the Xbox to MS, and receiving it back would be approximately 15 calender days.

Again, it could be even shorter if its express delivered.

MS, thats actually better than I expected. My thoughts of 30 - 45 days were worrying me.

Now the final questions:
- Did they repair my old console?
- Did they install a falcom chip and new power supply?
- Did they give me a entirely new console?
- Did they give me Timmys F****D up console and refurbed that unit?

I'll report to you all shortly.

Hi,

Thats kind of what I am hoping for. If I get my console back, I know its been fixed, plus I've never done any bad things to my console, or neglected it. I have also refused to do the towel thingy to ressurect it. So I want my old one back, however, I'd be hoping for a 175 watt power supply then I'll know they beefed that bad boy up! If not, then I know it will certainly fail again down the road at some stage again.

Its amazing, the timing just seems to F**K everyone up don't it.

I said to my wife last night, if my 360 dies again, ie on the eve of GOW2, I will be buying a new Arcade model.

She said ok. So thats a good thing.

No way will I miss out on game time for that game.

Are you sure? i thought MS took all the received consoles, lined them up on the table with their return boxes, moved all the machines over 1 box, then packed them up and sent them out.

Actually I'll add to the prior post about MS giving me 2 pieces of conflicting info. Now, I received a email that said I can track my package via the following tracking number. The carriers link is on your service page. When I am on the service page, there is no link anywhere? So I tried to google the Logistics Australia Post service, and after searching 30 links, found one that did domestic parcel tracking and the number I entered dont exist.

Jesus MS, talk about sending me on a F******g goose chase. They really need to drop standard emails and really try to be consistent in what they say and inform customers about.

Essentially there is no tracking links on MS website, and the carrier mentioned doesn't exist.

God blyme!

Surprisingly mine is on it's way back already. Went out on Monday and UPS states that it is on it's way back today. Just want the darn thing back so I can hook it up to my new Samsung.
