Posts: 1,579 | no, you can't. you will have to flash the drive regardless. you will need to get the drive key off of your original drive, then "spoof" the hitachi with the new drive key and firmware that makes the 360 think it's the original drive.
with that said, although you will have to "flash" the drive, you don't have to flash it with ixtreme firmware.
in order to "spoof", you will need to download maximus toolbox and read the tutorial.
alternatively...you can buy the toshiba/samsung drive, swap out the drive firmware boards, and you should be good to go. no flashing requried. |
