I usually walk to video store and get some grub on way home, If your going spend few hours in the dark watching a film, you needs to get some fresh air and exersize getting the bleedin yoke, I just think downloading rentals is pure lazyness.

Maybe 60 seconds to buffer enough to allow decent streaming.

No broadband connection can support full HD streaming at present.

oh yeah - how fast then?

nevermind - found it on wiki - 100mb/s - pretty impressive.

My only concern is the amount of RFR that it's gonna generate.

Price.. umm.. probably not cheap at first
Where - It is eventually going to be a world wide standard for most companies. both CDMA (verizon/sprint) and GSM (ATT/tmobile/vodaphone) carriers in the US and abroad are going to be switching to it.

Verizon is going to have it first in the US by years (parent company Vodaphone helped develope it along side Nokia) and ATT is going to rent it from Vodaphone. Verizon's is supposed to be up by 2010, and ATT is 2012/2013. Sprint is getting WiMax (wide area WiFi) up and running next year supposedly on a wide scale.. tests are already getting started if you live in DC.
Also, Verizon's fiber optic cable/phone/internet service is expanding exponentially across the US as we speak.
Comcast is going to die!

I think they would just do an add-on drive since the read speeds of blu-ray drives are no where near the speeds of dvd drives and would render most xbox 360 games unplayable. Unless they have some kind of dual player built in that has the abillity to do the 12x speed of the 360's drive.

it doesnt really matter if they include one or not.. I still dont think they will, but regardless, the BR drive will only be used for media and not games, so dont go gettin your hopes up. If it is included, it will, of course, be a dual laser..
