So on saturday i turn on my xbox360 and started playing vegas2 then out of no where the xbox freezes and my tv screen became pixleated almost.. little red blue and green squares every where. so i turn the 360 off and back on and it dose it againg but this time at console start up. so i call microsoft and we go through the trouble shooting steps and all the sudden my xbox starts flashing. and im like aww crap. right before summer this is not good. so now there sending me a box to send the xbox in. and i get off the phone bummed. then 10 min later i turn the xbox back on and it works like it was brand new. I LOVE IT!
just like a woman. the 360 can't make up its mind.
i wouldn't bet that you're out of the clear just yet, unless you did something different after getting off the phone with MS. and like a lot of women, sometimes the 360 just needs a good beating to put it back in line. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!
i got the RRoD like 4 or 5 times before it finally just wouldnt work anymore. If you make sure your 360 is ventilated, vents cleaned, and your power brick is off the darn carpet, let it cool down for a few, and restart it, it may just work again. Unfortunatly it is a ticking time bomb for when it will make a permanent RRoD..
Id get it back to xbox it will be the first day of the holidays, sit down switch on the box, waiting for the green x to flash before your eyes, Then BAM! out of no where 3 red light hope it doesnt like but just saying
Really no excuse for 2.5 years of terrible performance and customer service.
Time to grow some balls...
Well guys and gals,
Most of us are into our 360 set-ups at least $500.
I have had 3 "repair cycles" in less than 2 years.
The COD4 "update" killed my unit a month ago.
I am contacting an attorney regarding a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT on behalf of ALL Xbox 360 owners.
Wish US luck!
Best,
Gunny
Number one I highly doubt updates brick 360's and if they do would you please give us the proof/evidence you have. Secondly if you are even able to get a class action suit started you would be laughed out of court, due to the fact Microsoft fixes the RROD with no cost to customer if your with in the 3 year time span. So if my math is correct very first people who got there 360s are still under warrenty for RROD until November 2008. Sure it stinks alot of people on this site had multuiple failures. I am not happy about that either, but at least MS is rectifying the situation and gave us 3 year warrenty on RROD unlike most other corporations.
Go see if Sony would do that and ask all of us who had system failures on PS2 how well sony took care of us. I suggest you try and look at the logic of your argument before you go around all the sections of this site and spamming the forums with your ill concieved rants.

on a side note, for some strange reason both i and a future roommate both bought our PS2's through Best Buy with the 2 year replacement plan. neither of us had ever bought a replacement plan or warranty on anything before. and right at the end of the 2 year mark, Sony had released the new slim PS2 version and both of ours were getting a little twitchy. so within a month of each other we both took our systems to a Best Buy store and took home a brand new slim version off the shelf for no cost.
not sure what all warranties you can get for the PS3 or Best Buy, but that was pretty FREAKING SWEET.

i bought the replacement plan from best buy on the 360, knowing the history they had...figured it would be easier to take it over there and know i would get a new one then send it to MS and wait 3-4 weeks. bought one for my dumb ipod too. boo, ipod!
