Im ready to buy a 360 but...

I dont know if now is the right time. I keep reading threads about how there 360 has broke. And a 350+ post on broken 360's on gamespot makes me nervous about investing this much money into a console. So my question is should I get one now? Is there that big of a risk of my future 360 dying and making me shell out money for a defective unit? Or should I wait?

Its like with anything some will be defective when the ps3 comes out the first batch of those are all gonna be defective too..

I got mine like 4 months ago and havent really had any problems at all.. plsu all the games are hot..

Get it, cause none of the 360s are really breaking down. I know alot of people who have one and theirs isn't breaking.

correct lol just trust us.... there are about 1,000 people on this site and about 50-100 have theres overheat.... cool get a new one from microsoft... i would strongly consider it!

you get a 1 year garuntee anyway, i say get it, the games are much cooler than any system coming out in 2006 or 2007

Yeah, I'd be inclined to get it. I've had mine since Easter and I have no problems at all.

I have had two but Microsoft swapped it so fast I had no complaints. I have had no problems since so I strongly suggest you buy one and not be ripped off by Sony!!

IF you take good care of your 360, it wont broke without purposes
I bought my 360 for a month and i dont have much problems with it

hey im not sure if i want to get it or not but i realy want it my friend overheated but what i can say is that thier a fan to buy its like three fans n thats wat im going to buy first instead of games

He probably means dont let the 360 lay flat on the carpet or floor... dont let it get too dusty... and if you think it will overheat, then buy a cooling fan. basically be smart with it.

And i wouldnt worry anyways. My 360 is from the release day and it hasnt overheated or needed to be sent in to Microsoft ever. Its only frozen like 4 times.

Either way Microsoft has extended its warranties so buying it shouldnt be a worry.

the thing that over heats isnt NORMALLY the 360, but the POWERBRICK that comes with it. Do not let it lie flat on the floor, or ur 360 for that matter, have the brick suspended or atleast leaning up against the wall for air flow. If the power brick overheats, it will shut down ur system.. If you kill your powerbrick, cal MS immediatly!! My brother had a bad system, and MS was really good to him. I bought both mine and his since launch day, mine never had a problem, his powerbrick overheated n died.

I've had my 360 from launch and havn't had a problem with it, i think its froze 2-3 times since launch and i play my 360 regularly.

I would buy one if I were you. Most of the people i know that have purchased one recently have not had any problems with their units.I bought my 360 last January, I am now on my fourth one, everytime it broke microsoft was really good about fixing it. So theirs really nothing to worry about.

I wouldn't worry about it breaking down too much at this point, but this site has a comparison of where to buy a 360 from and the cool thing is it has reviews of other people that bought it and their thoughts about it. Its at Yaprice.com here:

Ive had mine almost a year and its awesome. OK so the dvd trey doesnt close when you ask it to and it needs a gentle nudge, but it opens and thats more important! Probably worth noting when you see posts by people who have gamercard score of 10,000+ with a broken xbox, theres probably a reason for it!!

i got mine at the beginning of january and i havint had a problem with it but i would say if you get it get one of the inter cooler things so that way it dosent over heat
