weird sound with system

i saw simthing on tv on g4tv when they had that show to count down the xbox 360 and how they made it and i saw that u could tip the system over to the side and the green light that tells u that u have the wireless and none wireless controller pluged in moves too. well i did it when the system was on and a game inside like they did on tv. the person on tv did it with no problem. but i did it and it made a big loud sound. the sound sounded like 3 things 1st like the game was scratching but it did not make a mark on the disc. and 2nd like a change saw cutting somthing and 3rd like a screeching sound. can any one tell me why the system did the sound and other system did not? the person who did it was from microsoft but i don't know his name.

mine makes a noice like the disk is gettin scratched when i do it...didn't see that video from g4 though

I believe they tell you somewhere, though, that you should remove any discs from the system before changing it's position.
