Default Artifacts in cod2, caused by overheating.

I found this interesting article. It talks about how some guy’s COD 2 game is showing a lot of artifacts do to his system constantly over heating. Tell me what u guys think…

Overheating artifacts at home?

News:
Xbox 360 kiosks were overheating prior to the launch of Xbox360 in North America, but the problem was dismissed as being caused by poorly ventilated display cases. However, an Xbox-Scene.com member has reported of artifacts appearing on his version of Call of Duty 2 - the same game that got the problems before.

In case you're not familiar with the lingo, here's the Answers.com definition of Artifact;

Some distortion of an image or sound caused by a limitation or malfunction in the display or sound hardware or software. Artifacts may be very noticeable to the human eye or ear, or they may be just a few pixels out of balance or a few milliseconds of sound abnormality that go unnoticed.

So this kiosk problem could be infesting our homes like a bad case of termites. Or maybe the guy who noticed the problems lives in an oven, and nasty graphical glitches will be rarer than an honest Best Buy advertising campaign. Even more farfetched - is it COD2 pushing 360 past it's limits? (lord forbid)

Yeah well today I went to the mall and say some kid playing COD 2, and noticed some of the same artifacts as in the pictures, but not at the same extent. Obviously the system is overheating in the display case. But really with all this power running through these consoles this new generation; ventilation will be and is a very important issue with the ps3, 360, and even revelation, I said revelation do the fact that the smaller the console is the harder it is to cool all the essential components properly, and the revolution is as small as It gets. But Do to the fact that the revolution doesn’t need as much power as the 360 or the PS3, since the Nintendo system has less powerful hardware, its ventilation will not be as big of a dilemma as it is for the 360 and PS3.or at least that my opinion.

People forget that the 360 uses the same amount of power as a pc and they think it will work in a room of 50 degrees normally without any problems. Those people have to think twice.
