According to a ATI worker the Xbox 360 will be much more powerful than even their upcoming R5XX series of graphic cards, and that their PC cards will not match the Xbox 360 on power until their next generation of graphic cards scheduled for next year.

Nice faceplate benny, it would be über-cool if we could personalize our Xbox 360 to that extent.

I read that article as well, and I must say, if that is the case, then the Xbox 360 should be rather impressive, especially if the PS3 RSX GPU is featuring stuff we already have on the market today (rumored to be so). Guess we'll see.

....okay....already knew all that.....moving on....

there's a couple things that they don't take into account there though. the ATI gpu is usa, while none of the nVidia chips are, and while the triple-core processor is impressive, i'll give the industry 6 months to come out with a better one on computer. the thing that makes it so "next-gen" is the fact that all the parts come together and make a perfect whole. that's why the ps3 is gonna suck, everything was just put in there like they didn't care.

The Xbox 360 is going to rock with that kind of power, I think PC gaming is dying because you need to invest thousands of dollars into a PC to make it play games as good as a console because all the consoles resources are dedicated to the game but a PC has tons of other stuff installed on it and isn't completely focused on the game so it may lag or have some frame rate issues, it would cost around $6,000 - $7,000 to build a PC that plays higher end games beautifully, that's why I never buy PC games and only play console games.

I don't know if it's actually dying but console's make much more sense to me. But anyways, even though the PS3 is 550 Mhz and the 360 is 500 Mhz the 360 is more unified, and it has more usable power. The PS3 has too much overkill useless power with not enough system bandwidth to support any of it. The cell cpu and the extra 50 Mhz is gonna blow the price of a console right out of the water, and god they still don't have a unified online experience, that is why Xbox 360 is gonna own all of the PS3 fanboys mothers!!!! XBOX 360 ALL THE WAY!!!!!

until the last 2 lines there, he was stating some fact...so he's not quite fanboy yet.

yes the ps3 is overpowering their system with not enough components to support it. yes, the system bandwidth is a huge problem. he does raise the points that i like to hear when someone is going to "diss" on a console. you don't see fanboys use fact.

Papa smerf01, I think u will agree with me when I say, to all new member don’t make a new thread before u make shore there isn’t a thread on the same topic on the site already, all of this hardware stuff is stated in the hardware section, mostly by Papasmerf01 and I, we talk about the hardware flaws and answer some people’s question about like, what is anti-aliasing, how does it work, and why is bandwidth so important, stuff like that, , shore this stuff is obvious to others but to some they don’t now much about hardware. And that’s ware Papa and I come in
