Default Force Feedback

This is very important to me and Im dying to know the answer. Does the 360 support Force Feedback such as a future force feedback steering wheel. I have never heard anything on this subject and frankly Im shocked that I haven't. Please someone educated me. Is it something that the system must support or is it all based in the periferal itself?

MS has not confirmed nor denied the support of "True" force feedback support:

"We believe force-feedback is very interesting, and we plan on launching force-feedback peripherals after launch." Says Microsoft spokesperson, when asked again the question of force feedback. The real question stating, will the Xbox 360 feature "true" force feedback peripherals such as racing wheels? Although to this point Microsoft has yet to acknowledge an actual answer of yes or no and stands uncommitted to a first party manufacture the quote from the Microsoft Rep. States that they plan to launch force feedback peripherals after launch. But a true to tale answer is yet to be given. However it seems that several third party manufacturers have already begun work and test on several peripherals including a Project Gotham 3 racing wheel. Hope to see an actual licensed first party product as I know MOST products that seem to be licensed as a first party device by MS seem to be true to quality and are what gamers are looking for.

Everyone is speculating/hoping the 360 will support force feedback since the original xbox did not.

Thanks for the name compliment. I actually use psuedohippyincognito when I can but that is too many characters for this site lol.

Did you cut that from an article or did you write that? If it was an article do you know when it was dated. Im just curious if it is really old or fairly recent.

It is so ironic that there isnt force feedback because my first experience with true force feedback was a microsoft joystick. I played the starwars game where you fly around throughout. Cant remember the exact name anymore, maybe Starfighter of somthing. Ive been hooked ever since. If I could post a pic I would show you all my racing setup with my force wheel by Logitech. It is pretty cool and makes the whole racing thing completely different from using just a controller. It is so incredibly better.

Oh well, Im just whining but I am really feinding at this point with Gotham Racing and Need For Speed while my racing chair just sits there. Argh, thanks for letting me vent everyone lol.
