Default 27" HDTV LCD Television or 43" rear projection TV

What should I get?

27" HDTV LCD Television
43" Rear-projection TV
I can get this next year, one or the other. 43" is massive, but it isn't high defenition, or LCD.

You get the HD television. There is no need to think about it.

Honestly, for a extra $50 you could have gotten this one which is better:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7023525&type=product&productCate goryId=cat03002&id=1099394447059

It could have been possible that you overlooked it or your store didn't have it or if you ordered it online, you missed it. Honestly, you should take the one you have now since you just bought it and exchange it for the Magnavox and pay the difference. You'll be glad you did. On the other hand, if you are happy with the one you have now, then disregard what I said because in the end that's all that matters.

I agree. I think it's been pretty well documented on the web, and even here, that Insignia (made by a company called Sansui I believe), is a no-name brand, not known for producing high-quality electronics. Considering the price of these units, there is no reason not to extend your budget by $50 and buy a brand you have heard of before.

It is wise to research the products you are interested in; especially when we are talking about electronics.

It didn’t take me much research to discover that Insignia does not have a fabulous reputation and many unsatisfied customers exist already.

i agree, i have a 27' samsung and its plenty big enough for enjoying the 360, go with the hd.

and as far as the insignia tv, just remember youre getting what you paid for, a no-name brand tv. imo better to go for quality espessially when it comes to electronics, even if you are getting a samller screen you dont have to worry about it bugging out on you a year or two down the line
