Lightbulb My new HDTV...
Well after much research, comparing, and debating... I finally bought a new HDTV!

The model I chose is a 50" SONY Grand WEGA™ 3LCD Rear Projection HDTV. The picture is just breathtaking... (especially after calibrating it properly with DVE 2003)! The 360 games really come alive now.

I know I posted earlier that I was going to wait to buy a new HDTV, especially with the Twins on the way, but the deal was just too good to pass up. After my EPP discount and the sale price, it was under $2,000. Plus it's 18 months no payments/no interest.

My wife thought that there was nothing wrong with the old HDTV (Sony 32" Wega CRT).
But... I'm happy to say that after owning it for almost a week she has come around. Now she won't watch TV or play games on anything but the new TV.

Congrats Sharky! Those WEGA 3LCD televisions are pretty nice units. No doubt, you will be happy for quite some time.

Thanks Italia (and everyone else who posted)!!! Yes, I believe the wife & I will be very happy with this TV for quite a while. It's not quite the WEGA SXRD series of HDTVs, but it's definitely a sweet TV.

I will post pics later on.

Nice...I see that I am not the only one with wires suspending above my TV.

(My receiver is above the TV)

Yeah... I ran out of speaker wire and I've been too busy (or perhaps lazy) to fix it.
