I've been thinking, if the Xbox 360 is backwards compatible with the Xbox - will system link between the 2 consoles work?

What do you reckon?

Yup, it would have to work

For the Xbox 360 to be backwards compatible, it has to essentially believe it is an Xbox. So it will be just like 2 Xboxes connecting together like normal.

Makes you think how many little issues MS have to make sure they cover off in order to get this backwards compatibility thing working correctly...

it's not that big of a deal to be bc. it's just emulation. they just need to know how to emulate on the IBM processor.

I for one will only play one game from xbox. That's going to be halo 2, in till hall 3 comes out that is. But really how many people play ps1 games on the ps2 maybe 10% or so if even that . To me, backwards compatibility isn’t that important

See if MS don’t make it backwards compatible at all, and the PS3 did. A lot of Xbox 360 fans would be B**** about it. That’s how thing work. U don’t know what u have till its gown, ore in this case, till it’s never there in the first place. ( if that makes any sense )

....yes it is....ps3 is bc....by software/hardware emulation, same thing they did with the ps2.

yes the system will work between both current gen and next gen consoles. they released that a week ago.
