Posts: 106 | 360 Headsets I've tried the one the Premium bundle came with and the wireless one (boo), and i've been disapointed by both of their performances. i'd like to get something that can get a little louder with better voice quality.
any recommendations, besides the Halo 2 set? |

Posts: 841 | I have been happy with the basic wired one. But I hear the Turtle Beach Ear Force X2 is pretty good. Here is a link for a pretty in depth review. Good luck~ Turtle Beach Ear Force X2 Xbox 360 Headset

Posts: 36 | Yeah I've got the Tritton AX360 and you can adjust each of the surround volumes independently right there on the cord, 2 feet from the headset. Voice is in the "Center" band of audio, so if you turn that up, and lower the front, rear, and sub volumes, voices will be really loud.

Posts: 106 | well i went to gamestop today, and they didn't have any worth buying besides the Halo 2 one, which i've heard rave reviews about, so i picked it up. i forgot that i also needed a communicator adaptor for it, so it will be a few days till i can use it. oh well.
and by the way, why i asked about this is because i sat on my xbox 360 wired one, which has caused the quality to be quite bad, and my wireless one has major problems with it, which i still have to have replaced. i can barely hear anyone over my wired one now, and it crackles. my wireless one has very bad noise and is annoying. hopefully this will solve my problems. |

Posts: 22 | which Halo 2 one did you get, the Plantronics? it should work as is. the catch though is you cannot adjust the volume. the way around that is to adjust it with the XBOX headset and then unplug that one and plug your Halo 2 one in. the sound level stays. or better still, do what I did and order the "puck" thing from CodeJunkies. I think Nyko makes it. it is like $5 - $10 bucks and gives you back the volume and mute for the Halo 2 set.
i still think the halo 2 set is the best available. |

Posts: 1,579 | I just got the Turtle Beach X3 wireless headset from Best Buy. They support in-game audio and they are fantastic. I played R6V2 last night and there are many audio touches you can't hear from the standard tv speakers. Only drawback I've seen (so far) is they take 2 AAA batteries. I wish it was powered by the controller battery pack.

Posts: 2,464 | i got this one: (sorry for the best buy ad, but it is where i got it, so i knew they would have a pic) Plantronics - GameCom X30 In-the-Ear Headset for Xbox 360 - GAMECOMX30
the review is average, but for 25 bucks, i think it is a lot better then the one that comes with the console. it has a little bud that goes in you your ear, so you can hear really well, and don't have to have the volume blasting. i don't know how well it picks up your voice, though. i had to adjust the crap out of it before it seemed to respond. |

I have the Motorola nfl headset and it was ok for a while but it's designed for both Xbox1 and 360 which means you have to use the supplied adaptor to make it work with the 360 controller. After a while the adaptor will wear and you will get a lot of static from the pin losing contact.
The Turtle Beach headset if fantastic (so far) |
