Don't be so quick in your assumptions, my friend. People are going to Hack the 360 whether you (or Microsoft, for that matter) like it or not.

This announcement is just getting hackers everywhere a bit more anxious to get their hands on the 360.

The title says M$ AIMING at making the 360 unhackable, as ace said they will eventually be able to hack it and get around all of the prompts or w/e. But it will be a grand experience until then.

People with a modded XBox are on Live right now, so what will be different this time around. That something that triggers something will get told not to trigger something by the hackers.

M$ said if youd be able to make a mod for your xbox360 it wouldnt work on another xbox360, i guess it takes 1 month for just 1 single xbox 360, and 2-3 months to make a mod that works on all of them

I dont think there is such thing as unhackable, it is new technology that needs time for people to hack. Everything has a weak point (incluiding 360). Im going for 2-3 months to get hacked, 4-5 months to come up with a modchip or some kind of security bypass

the simple fact that Microsoft said that they are going to try to make it unhackable will make hackers want to hack it, but as long as they dont play on LIVE, it wont really matter

As far as I understood, one couldn't use Xbox-Live using Pirated discs, even if your Xbox was modded or you'd have your console banned from Live. Therefore, the difference will be felt by the developing houses more than the general public.

I don't know how cheating was done on Xbox Live.
What i know though is that even ig you have a modded Xbox you can go Live by disabling the modchip (if it is supported by it of course).
But from what i've heard i think that Xbox1 Live players will be playing aming the 360 Live Players so if someone is cheating it makes no difference whether he's using Xbox or 360, right?

they really need to incorporate some real type programming that checks the source or if any modifying tools are active. or something. there's always a way to detect. MS is the software king, I'm sure they can figure it out. I just hope they will. hacker protection from a hardware standpoint is great, but incorporate that with software to back it up. oh, but i may be talking out of ignorance... they probably already done this! who knows.
