Posts: 792   |  How many MS live point do you spend per month? weigh in here.. Lucky for me I tend to get into 1 game at a time so i'm not victim to buying every scrap of content for multiple games concurrently, I keep my Live point spending to about 1600 point every 2 months. mabye 1 arcade game and then 2-3 movies usually. How many points do you all blow per month amd how do you feel about the price points for Live content? |

Posts: n/a | None FFS. I assumed very few people actually used MS points. Im sure anybody with some commen sense will see they are such a rip-off and worthless that they will stay clear. Im aware there is the very odd good game on XBL and then it makes sense to buy 800, but thats like once or twice a year. And anyone who buys DLC for games they paid €70 last month is ****ing retarded, i know thats how things work these days companys like to rip us off, but i still wont buy content for a game i paid money for. simple as. and with Europe getting VMP last week, i can see the prices for those 'rentals' is a joke, id recommend getting off your fat ass and go to rental store get it alot cheaper. Posts: 244 | I rarely buy things. Once in a blue moon is an arcade game actually looks fun (aka, something I can play more then 10 times without getting bored), I'll go out and get some, but I never waste the leftovers on crappy titles, I'll just wait till something else worthwhile comes out.

Posts: 2,344  | Gryff you must have read my mind, I do almost the excat same thing. I have never bought anything using MS points. I think it's just a total rip-off, and I only get the stuff for free. If something worthwhile or something I just simply "must have" comes out though I'll run to the shop closest to me and get some points. Normally I don't buy anything though.

Posts: 2,529 | My wife wanted one of the arcade games and that was the first time i have used points. so had about 1200 sitting there for months and months. I decided to use some and downloaded some picture packs for some of the games i liked, and a theme. Kinda of a waste, but so is letting them sit there for 8 months. at least i have a couple options to change my gamertag pic, and i still like that 'glass' or 'carbon' theme that comes with the 360. |

Posts: 840  | I haven't spent many points, maybe 1500 or so in the almost 1 year I've had the thing. I got a couple of cheap arcade games to relive my youth but not sure if i would do that again as i hardly played them. The other thing i spent points on was a GH3 song pack. Going forward thats most likely the only thing i would spend more points on too. I would probably spend money on the video market place if they actually had consistent new releases and they were realistically priced (ie. they should be no more than blockbuster etc...). But as it stands at least for Canada the prices are outrageous and the selection just as crap. I don't see this changing any time soon either.

I would rent New releases on Marketplpace for up to $4 but seriously am I going to rent something thats been out for 6 months and finally made it onto the markeplace? also the TV show episodes are steep at $2 each. I would rent them all the time at $1 but for $2 i just say no no no |

Posts: 1,579 | The tv shows purchased are not rentals but yours to watch as many times as you wish. If you purchased a 13 episode season of a series at $2 each on Live would be $26 versus a $30-$50 DVD box set. So that's not hugely overpriced. The movie rentals are not really any more expensive than Blockbuster. New releases at BB are $5-$6. I like all people want things on Live to be cheaper but MS isn't really charging anymore than any other service (except for online stealing). |
