Posts: 712    |  The online service for the Xbox 360, which has two different membership types: Silver and Gold. They both require a broadband connection. Silver is free and offers you content download, marketplace access, chat with friends and occasional free weekends where you can play as if you were a gold member for free. On Silver, you CAN NOT play games against others (except on free weekends). Gold costs $49 a year and offers you everything silver does plus it allows you to play game against others online. Does that answer your question?
