Default Transform a hockey fan into a football fan

hey there ,

I was just remembering the debate we were having in the NHL 08 thread about hockey and football (soccer) , in which was the better sport (it was something like that)

I was hoping in getting a Football game on the 360 to try to get to leanr the sport but there are so many out and coming out , i don't know where to start.

I think we can leave Fifa Street 3 out , i want the real thing , not a arcady game.

Which one of the Football games should i try to get based on the following facts ?

- Last football game i played was on the Sega Genesis.
- I want a game that will teach me how the sport works.
- I don't care about rosters as I don't know any players besides the obvious.

So which game mostly fits into those criterias ? I saw a review on gametrailers (I love to download the HD version and watch them on my HDTV in 720P, is there any other sites i could get free HD "clips" ? Maybe this could be a plan for PX360 , I would certainly download and watch them regularly *HINT HINT*)

anyways , as I was saying , I saw a review of a Football game that also had Pakcs of cards you could buy. The guy said its a wonderfull way to learn about the sport. I don't remember which one it was ... Something like UFA 2007 or something like that (sorry if I botched the name)

So guys , enlighten me and ill try to get the best football game you propose to me in about 2 weeks if i can find it.

Thanks ! (Have a nice weekend guys !)

I'd would say the majority EU consensus would be PES. From what Shane and Oli say, however unreliable and biased it may be, PES is a superior title as far as game play. Being that I don't play soccer games I couldn't give you my personal opinion.

i'd recommend pro evo for gameplay but for learning the rules i'd recommend fifa (not street) becuase the pro evo referees are full of **** and will screw up your knowlege of the rules

The game is UEFA Champions League 07. Thats the one with the cards. You can pick it up dirt cheap too. The gameplay is pretty much exactly the same as FIFA 07, as is the graphics.

FIFA 08 plays an excellent game of football, but PES2008 is still slightly in front of it on the gameplay IMO.

I recommened you buy FIFA 08 because I don't think PES2008 is available in Canada or the U.S. yet - plus it will be called Winning Eleven over there just to let you know.

Very true! That's what Browns fans have been saying since they got their franchise back and look at them now!
